CPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS Requirements, Policies, and Procedures in the Construction Industry

This unit covers the outcomes required to carry out WHS requirements through safe work practices at any on-site or off-site construction workplace.

It focuses on performing work in a safe manner by recognizing risks and work requirements, planning, and executing safe work practices with concern for personal safety and the safety of others.

Additionally, it covers the identification of hazardous materials, including asbestos, and compliance with legislated safety practices. However, it does not include asbestos removal, which requires specialized licensing.

Participants will learn how to identify and assess risks, recognize hazardous materials and other site hazards, plan and apply safe work practices, and follow emergency procedures.

To successfully complete this course, participants must complete three practical activities that require uploading photo evidence of themselves performing the activities.
