Gaston Lagos

Gaston Lagos is a native born Spanish speaker, who also is fluent in Portuguese. Gaston has many years of teaching experience, having worked in Australia as a teacher since 2007.
As well as teaching both Spanish and Portuguese, Gaston is also an accomplished English teacher, having taught ESL/ELICOS/PTE/EAP and IELTS classes also for a number of different colleges. Indeed, Gaston has a passion for languages, having achieved both a Diploma in Applied Linguistics – ESL Teaching and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics.
Furthermore, Gaston has worked as an interpreter and translator. Having completed a three year advanced course for Interpreters and Translators in English and Spanish, was thus was awarded a Level III Accreditation. Gaston is a patient and caring tutor, who has also completed Mental Health First Aid Training and Disability Client Training.
Gaston looks forward to imparting his knowledge and love of languages to the students of Parramatta College.

Monique Laura is a French native speaker. She grew up in Nice where she studied at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis and obtained a Bachelor Degree in English Literature and Civilisation, followed by a Masters Degree in French as a Foreign Language.
Monique has taught French in the UK, India, China, Bangladesh, France, Malaysia and Australia in Alliances Françaises and Universities to adults and teenagers for the past 7 years.
She’s very passionate about teaching languages and travelling and loves to share her passion with her students.

Kate Leach has extensive Ceramics/Pottery experience both in Australia and overseas. She holds a degree in Ceramics from the National Art School in Darlinghurst. In Australia Kate has also exhibited in solo exhibitions, group and collaborative shows at: Mura Clay Gallery, Mori Gallery, The Australian Craft Show and an invitation group Show at The Manly Art Gallery.
Kate has also spent a number of years in Canada where she was employed by the Toronto District School board to run pottery/ceramics classes at Danforth Technical College. Kate has also held a number of Artist-in-Residence positions in Nova Scotia. As well Kate participated in regular Shows and Pop up Shows with ArtScape in Toronto. Her work was displayed at the Ontario Craft Council and juried Art Exhibitions at Pte. Au Baril Art Show, Ontario, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and Muskoka Art Show, Ontario.
Kate has taught all aspects of making with clay, hand building and wheel work, decorating and glazing, and is excited to return to Australia and pass on her many talents and knowledge to the students of Parramatta College.
