COURSE DESCRIPTION
Suitable for beginners and continuing students. You will learn basic pencil drawing skills and learn the important technique of getting the right proportion and perspective. Discover the simple, yet beautiful, expressive medium of watercolour or acrylic to paint still life and from reference photos. Composition and tonal values will be covered also along with brush techniques and colour mixing. Please see materials required below.
COURSE CONTENT
Learn essential drawing knowledge with correct proportion and perspective, tone and texture. Focusing on watercolour mixing, technique, as well as practising from monochrome to a full range of colour.
COURSE OUTCOMES
You will learn to draw and paint from observation and have a better understanding about perspective, light, tone and composition in real life settings, via pencil drawings and watercolour painting.

...Please bring the following:
• To the first lesson – An A3 visual diary, HB, 2B and 4B pencil, eraser, and kneadable eraser
About halfway through the course you start painting, so then you will need to bring:
• 18 colour watercolour set (tubes)
• Watercolour mixing palette
• Watercolour brushes, round size 8, size 12 and flat brush size 6 (Size guide only as different manufacturers produce their own size code. Sample will be given in the class)
• A4 Watercolour sheets or pad min. 185 gsm
• Sponge, Water bucket
